Members shared heartfelt New Year's resolutions centered on surviving and moving beyond COVID-19, with many hoping to receive the vaccine, avoid infection, and return to a life free of masks and pandemic worries. Several members expressed spiritual and personal growth goals, including spending more time with family and in faith, losing weight, drinking more water, walking more, and practicing gratitude and humility each day. A powerful thread emerged around living with ALS, with one member describing their recent diagnosis after a near-death surgery and pneumonia, losing significant muscle mass, and beginning aggressive rehab with hope of regaining strength through physical therapy and gym training, inspired by another member's friend who has lived well with ALS for nearly eight years through fitness and a positive mindset.
