Agree with others, wait a month then be retested for viral load. This happened to me a couple of months ago where mine came back at 200 and then retested and it came back undectable. Don't fret.

@A myHIVteam Member, it depends on the test your doctor uses, and what your clinic can afford.. Below 50 in the United States is the old test. Then it went to below 40 here. Now there are newer test, here it is below 20. So yes, anything below 50 is undetectable, depending on the current test your doctor has available. The test that test below 20 are much more expensive than the test that test below 50.

The viral load isn't that high and your tcells are high enough to fight off infections. As for me I don't worry about 1 lab work if I see a pattern by the 3rd one then my doctor and I start looking at a strategy for treatment. I have been living with HIV in November will be 28 years. I know how to read my chart and I have a great relationship with my doctor. We work as team. If the viral load drastically rises in the next labs then I would be concerned. I have had my viral load go up to 50 and drop back to undetectable maybe it was a lab error or maybe you were catching a cold or wasn't sleeping well. Good luck buddy
