Members shared their experiences taking vitamins and supplements while on HIV medication, with most reporting they successfully take multivitamins, B12, vitamin D, vitamin C, and fish or krill oil without issues. Several members emphasized the importance of consulting with a pharmacist or care team about timing and interactions, particularly warning against St. John's Wort which can interfere with Biktarvy absorption, and noting that minerals like magnesium, iron, calcium, and aluminum should be avoided or timed carefully. A recurring theme was that vitamin supplementation, especially B12, has helped many feel healthier and recover faster, with members encouraging each other to check with their healthcare providers before starting any new supplements.
