Members answered questions about their dream jobs at age 10, age 20, and what they ended up doing, revealing a wonderful range of paths from ballet to Navy service to veterinary work. Several members described how illness, injury, or life changes redirected their careers, with many still finding meaning through passion projects, caregiving, or going back to school later in life. A recurring theme was that career paths rarely go as planned, but many found unexpected purpose and fulfillment along the way.

Funny this is the homework I'm working on RIGHT now for my Counseling class. When I was 20 I was working for TranasWestern Publishing, we made the YellowPages in San Diego. I was a graphic designer and copy editor there for three years. I wanted to be a journalist or stage actress. I was in college the 1st time taking all the journalism, acting & broadcast classes.

I'm 41 and back in college majoring in human services to be a women's HIV peer advocate or something related to HIV education & education pre-exposure. I want to mix journalism with HIV, fuck stigma I'm here to speak out for people who can not.

My dream job was to be a singer and then at 20 my dream job was to be a designer. I ended up being an advertising executive. Now in my later years , I hope to open up a Euro style gay friendly bakery/cafe in the Midwest πŸ’šπŸ’›πŸ§‘πŸ’™πŸ’œβ™₯οΈβ€οΈπŸ€—β˜•β˜•β˜•β€οΈ

Absolutely Michael. It is still a work-in-progress as this virus has stalled a lot of businesses in my small town. But it's also a silver lining and I'm hoping that the rents and leases in town have gone down as well as the property taxes. But we'll see. Much love. β€οΈπŸ§‘πŸ’™πŸ’™β™₯οΈπŸ’œπŸ€—β˜•β˜•β˜•πŸ₯§πŸ₯§πŸ₯§πŸ‘©β€πŸ³
