Marijuana...
A myHIVteam Member asked a question ๐Ÿ’ญ

I'm not a marijuana user, however, I was curious if Medical Marijuana helps positive people? I dont know much about it health wise and wanted to know others opinion.

I am an addict that injected speed and heroin. Thankfully, i have 10 months clean this month and don't plan on returning to my retired life of abusing drugs. I smoked a few joints in high school, but it wasnt my thing. Would medical marijuana help my health being now that I'm positive?

Well that's only a question that you and your doctor can answer. Medical cannabis can provide relief in various ways. Have a heart-to-heart with your doctor about your addiction and the use of medical cannabis.... Also, if you experience anxiety, depression, sleep disorder, GI tract ailments,.. etc ...these are things you can talk to your doctor about along with the use of cannabis๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿค—

CBD is better than THC. I've been looking up a research about this and THC may cause cancer so it's best to stay away from. The CBD got a lot of benefits to it.
But truthfully it's been awhile since I smoked because it literally hurt my throat so

As suggested you should talk to your doctor and any addiction counselor you might have first.
Also there is the CBD oil which my wife swears by and says is helping her pain and anxiety without being illegal anywhere or having mentally altering effects.
That being said the pot you smoked at a younger age might be different that what is available now. In my state, Florida, HIV is one of the conditions you can legally prescribe cannabis for so someone thinks it can do us some good.
I come from a family of drug and alcohol addicts so Iโ€™ve always been careful what Ingest for that reason.
I used Kava for 12 years to help with anxiety until I lost my job as a cdl truck driver and was able to try pot ( no more drug testing) which did a much better job at that.
Kava is safe and Non addicting too, but harder to come by. I was fortunate enough that there are kava bars near my house. Kava is a brown muddy drink you get from a root from the Polynesian islands. Makes you relaxed without any hangover, not addicting and is not drug tested for.
I hope this info helps. Tom
