Why Are Our Posts Now Indexed On Google?
A myHIVteam Member asked a question 💭

I was searching for info on a drug I'm going to take and came across a link to a post I made here a few months ago. I thought this site was private for us. Very upset

I found email on MyHIVteam to send privacy concerns too.
So sent a screenshot of @A myHIVteam Member info on google. JohnI suggest you contact them too since it’s your privacy that at issue, for now. I can’t imagine you are the only one.
Here is what I sent them at (Email address can only be seen by the question and answer creators)

To whom it may concern,
A fellow teammate @A myHIVteam Member discovered some of his post are coming up as search results on google. I’ve sent a screen shot to demonstrate.
This goes against your stated policy of our information being password protected and only available to other team members and MyHIVteam staff.
Please let me know your response to this and I would suggest contacting @A myHIVteam Member directly to let him know know your answer to this possible violation of his privacy.
I also think this needs to be address with a site wide message to all team members.
I think everyone here appreciates having this platform to be able to freely speak about our issues but if we are being told our info is private and it’s not we should be told so we can decide if using it outweighs the lack privacy we can expect.
Sincerely Tom B.

Thank you Bigguyinsouth for letting MyHIVteam know. This site is supposed to be private. JohnConrad I'm so sorry you have been going through a lot and you dont need this. My prayers go out to you brother hopefully MyHIVteam takes this serious and not drag there feet. With my story I really dont care. There are others that have jobs and family do not need to read this stuff. There's already stigmas around HIV letting our posts out is just fueling fire for hatred. Thank you everyone for your post we still need to stick together as team.
