Has Anybody Ever Had A Rash Under Their Armpit? What Helped With The Itch?
A myHIVteam Member asked a question 💭

I had an ingrown boil that finally broke loose. Now it's leaking. Since there is an open wound I can't wear deodorant (deodorants say not to use on broken skin), and I am now getting a rash. What have you done for the rash and the odor?

MRSA is only contagious during a breakout. I got it years ago from sitting on a seat in the gym. It was going around the high schools near st Louis. I had an ingrown hair on my testicles. Omg! I had no idea what was happening. They turned black. Scared me to death nearly.
Had some very uncomfortable surgery. Had to leave drains (3) with tubes coming out of my scrotum. It was pretty awful.
So talked at length with my Dr..
You aren't typically infectious. Even blood. But if you get an outbreak of any kind from it, it's very contagious.
So, I have a scar from the bottom of my scrotum all the way around and to my (you know what).
All from an ingrown hair. Sitting down before my shower.
I was in hospital for 6 days. But off work 3 mos. Luckily work had great insurance. I've gotten worn down, and gotten a few sores. Not in the same place though. I had to shove gauze in all the openings daily. Even had a home nurse come to help.
I think back and there were moments I wish I were dead. I had lots of drugs then. But thank God it doesn't bother me at all. But if I get sick, omg. Got a metal splinter in my thumb. Had surgery from it 4 times. So take care of yourself. Don't allow any wound get bad, and it shouldn't be bad for you.
I kinda became an expert over all surgeries. Be careful.

I would suggest getting a referral from your primary doctor for a dermatologist

I got MRSA on my ass. I'm never using a $20 to wipe my ass again. Apparently a stripper must have used it to snort something for her yeast infection. That was a Christmas I won't soon forget....
