COPD And Other Bronchial Problems
A myHIVteam Member asked a question 💭

Hello everyone ,I wanted to ask ...am I the only one during this summer heat especially when it's very humid, that it's difficult to breathe or walk extensively without losing my breath... and having to use my inhaler. ...I have COPD but it gets really bad in Summer...anyone else? What do you do to improve lungs?

Yes Luis, I have trouble breathing on hot days. My oxygen saturation at my doctor's office last week was 90%. Normally it should be 98%. If it doesn't improve soon I may have to have oxygen at home as needed.

...arrgghh......the lung stuff will clear up...do you have a friend or family member that can go with you to the cancer center??? get those two spots looked at.. you need to get those spots diagnosed and a possible treatment plan can be created but clear up those lungs first because the steroids deplete your immune system and it may inhibit any treatments for your kidneys ..so get those lungs strong 👍👍💪..my thoughts are with you. 🤗🤗🤗💚💛🧡❤️💜

I also have breathing problems, but mine are year round when ever there is a lot of humidity, when it rains its even worse and then extreme cold in winter time is really hard so that in late fall through early spring I end up using my nebuliazer every single day and some times 2 and 3 times a day. In late spring and summer time when its hot humid I have to use it at least once a day and if we have rain then it may be 2 and 3 times a day. I get broncitis really bad and have gone into pneumonia several times each year for the last 4 years so I have to really keep on top of it. If you do continue to have problems you really do need to let your doctor know as there maybe other medications they can use and even getting a nebulizer is really helpful I can not believe the difference it has made to me since I started using one 2 years ago. I hope you get to feeling a lot better really soon.
