Factor Contribute To False Negative In HIV Antigen Test Other Than Window Period?
A myHIVteam Member asked a question 💭

Hi all,

What is/are the factor that can cause false negative other than window period? Let say someone that has been undetected for years by taking arv.

I'm not sure but perhaps Immunosuppressant drugs? Plasmapheresis?

I heard that those who is taking arv long enough could get false negative as well, anybody from here?

Thanks!

Tests with high sensitivity produce few false-negative results, whereas tests with high ... however, and there are biologic factors that can limit the accuracy of HIV tests.
