Members overwhelmingly expressed willingness to participate in clinical trials, with many motivated by the desire to contribute to medical progress and pay forward the research that helped them. Several members shared positive firsthand experiences from trials dating back to the 1980s, noting benefits like financial incentives, gift cards, and the educational value of learning more about their condition, while one member credited an ongoing trial drug with keeping them healthy and alive after becoming resistant to most standard treatments. A recurring theme was the belief that clinical trials are essential for advancing toward cures, balanced with practical considerations like geographic accessibility and ensuring the trials meet personal safety standards.

Clinical trials are very necessary for developing knowledge and finding cures. Most definitely I would be part of a trial for the educational aspect

I have been in many of the trials, I was glad to do them, and then I got money, gift cards, food cards, and was very satisfied, and would do it again....

I would go for a clinical trial. Compared to previous meds, the risks are significantly lower nowadays, and it would make me feel good to do my part with progress.

Of course I would consider participating in a clinical trial, so long as it's been proven to be safe.
