How Has HIV Been A POSITVE Experience In Your Life?

I always see how people write how HIV is bad. I always seem to see the negative side, and people talking about the negative things about HIV. Yes usually the negative outweighs the positive, but how has HIV affected you in a positive way?

It has made me a kinder and more respectful person. Not to mention all of the kind and caring people it brought into my life.πŸ˜€

Although HIV was a devastating experience, it was also a blessing. The positive side to it was that I had the opportunity to grow in the HIV/AIDS field as an advocate and HIV/AIDS counselor and tester when i started years ago to now as a Substance abuse counselor for people with and without HIV. I've met amazing people who really need our services and more amazing people who continue to fight for all our rights.

Hello everyone. I can say that HIV has made me get intouch with my spirituallity, weeded out my garden ( getting rid of all the negative people that were surrounding me), sharing my faith with others

I quit smoking after years of trying. I found new friends. My family means more to me now than ever. I pay closer attention to my diet. I started lifting free weights - not a power lifter, mind you, but enough to keep my arms & legs toned. And - it gives me an opportunity to educate friends, family and social media friends about the journey of HIV/AIDS.
