Has Anyone Been In Love With Someone But They Are Super Close To Their Ex?
A myHIVteam Member asked a question 💭

By close I mean they are still making memories, reminiscing, and the guy picks him up from work, etc. IDK if I should be concerned because their relationship seems a little fishy to me, they reassure me that they are just friends but my cheating radar has been telling me differently. Like I have seen and experienced this scenario one too many times in my 33 years of living. He and I never go out and do things like they have/do. Should I end it or have an uncomfortable conversation? (I highly… read more

Friends have there place.... Make him explain it away or make it stop. Those are the only two options. It's common for people to say that they knew them before you. That's not your issue, It's there's. I'd bounce. Don't make being disrespectful comfortable.

I'm sorry you're going through this my friend. It really depends on how long you've been with your partner your current partner and how long you've been estranged from your ex. I still keep in contact with one of my ex's and I've been involved for 15 years. I ask my current partner if it bothers him and he says it doesn't. I also offer the conversations that we have with him so he doesn't feel excluded. Perhaps if he includes you in their conversations you will feel better?

The ex is aware that I'm in the room with him but you know, some guys don't care about the "new guy", I'm bad at describing the situation but some of their conversations seem like something is still going on or that they are still somewhat involved in some other way besides as "friends" and the ex has a boyfriend for like 7 years but he still tries/have invited him to their home and has made advances even prior to us dating. Mind you me and the guy have been friends for like 7-8 years before dating and I have never heard him mention the guy, and he always tell him that he loves him but I have never heard him say that to me unless I say it first. idk maybe I'm overreacting but I honestly can't handle finding out what I fear might be the truth...:'(
