How ;long did it take getting back to your regular self after starting meds? Months, Years?
So glad you stopped taking AZT. That stuff killed so many people, but, like all many people prior to ‘the good stuff’, I suppose you were also just clutching straws. Glad you made it to were the ‘game changers’ came along and have now found something that works and suits you and AZT has been relegated to HIV’s Room 101. 💐
Just a couple months for me. When I started I use to puke everything out.
@A myHIVteam Member Once you were undetectable, did you feel better? Did you feel like you had more or less energy? It's the fatigue and pain for me. It's not all the time but when it comes on I don't feel like I want to anything. It's been 3 years since I have been on meds(Biktarvy). I do feel way better than 2 years ago. When I first started I was kind of sick. I guess my question is, when will I feel normal again?
If I remember right. I think I was undetectable in under 6minths of starting my meds and in 2010 when I was diagnosed. I was on attripla
I started meds so long ago. I took AZT for three days and got sick. I quit taking it and felt better. Years later I started the new drugs. Had to dissolve it in water and take on a empty stomach. Nasty stuff .Bad on the gut and the brain.. I never missed a dose. Changed meds 7 times over the years. All the modern one made me feel good right away. Now I take just one pill a day. My brain is better and my gut is strong. I'm going long.😃
