Since my contracting this illness I have had a terrible time keeping my weight down. I slowly have added almost 50 pounds since 2008. Been on countless diets, weight loss programs and gym memberships only for my weight to bounce back up. On top of it all is onset of osteopenia and fatigue from the illness. Add to this a sleep disorder from the drugs. How many of us have this problem?
I love this thread of conversation. I have gained 35 pounds in the last two years. I had a total knee replacement in September 2020 that required another surgery. Now I'm told I'll need a third surgery on the same knee. Still, I'm not giving up. I am 62 years young and I'm still kicking. LOL. There has to be a balance that can be struck between being relatively healthy, having some success with fatigue, and weight management. I just haven't found the magic pill yet 😄
Weight gain, fatigue, and aging are the trifectas of my abysmal world when it comes to fitness😄 As someone else said, I'm profoundly grateful to be alive. Still, I know life works best for me when there is balance. I refuse to kill myself at the gym anymore, but I have started back working out. And I refuse to just sit around and BLOW UP. LOL. I get a lot of hope reading the various scenarios, ideas, and solutions people have tried. I'm acutally starting to lose weight again, Thank God! But this weight gain thing is fueled by chronic fatigue, and aging - it's no joke. "Tryna Lose Weight in Hawaii"

Lol Peter. Your funny. Yes please let us know.
I have the same issues with weight and difficulty sleeping. Its a constant battle. What meds are you taking? I am on Biktarvy.
I am trying a new "Waistline Control" supplement from Life Extension. Along with 30 minutes of exercise and limited diet for 16 weeks. Its suppose to remove 3 inches from the waist and 4 from the hips. I will let you all know how it goes. Something tells me though that I am going to get let down like when I was a kid and received sea monkeys in the mail and they didn't have their crowns like in the pictures. LOL
Weight especially around there waist is a common problem for those of us living with HIV
