What are the chances that i could infect my partner if i am undetectable and been so for the past 9 years? We had sex the other day and during ghe process blood came out as i thought my periods were finished…. Is there a slight possiblity that could have infected him. We are both so scared😭😭… he is going for a test on Wednesday and i would hate myself if anything happened to him. Please advise
Hi @ MaryJay, I think it's great that you are undetectable. I would recommend going to the hospital (now) and letting them know the whole thing and then they could prescribe truvada for him. It is a prep medication that can interfere with the transmitting of the virus, if he got infected.
If your on your med and undetectable your chances are pretty low... but you both may want to look in to prep in the future for your partner..it should all be okay and don't worry more than you have to.....best of luck to you both 💕
According to my doctor there's not a chance in hell that you could have infected your partner.
It usually takes up to 4-6 weeks, sometimes up to 3 months after exposure. So it might be a little soon to be tested. And from most data U=U So I wouldn’t freak out.
