I don't know about you, but I think HIV and cancer or any other ailment would be further along in studies if they got money for research as covid has. Heck, even if the government took sooner action in the 1980s, we might be further along now as well. What are your thoughts on HIV research compared to Covid research? Read the story at this link:

It has always made me wonder why HIV research is put on the back burner of research as well as the common cold. These illnesses need to be put on the for front of research. We spend billions on buying temporary pills and potions to aid in the symptoms of these diseases but GOD forbid a cure is ever found. Can you say "pharmawindfall" The drug companies make billions capitalizing on us.

You must remember that HIV was initially branded in this country as a 'gay disease' largely effecting a marginalized population. If it were perceived to be a threat to the general population it would have been a different story.

It angers me that Covid research Started Much Quicker than HIV research and seems to still being done at a far quicker pace.
It's like HIV research is the stepchild to Covid research.
