Anal/Oral
A myHIVteam Member asked a question 💭

I’ve been undetectable for a year and someone I’m dating is on Prep. He ate me out this weekend and I felt like I may have had a minor cut somewhere above the area of my anus. I’ve just been overthinking and hoping that will not make him positive. Can anyone reassure me?

Thank you both. Neither of us have STI/D’s. My concern was just the cut infecting him but I guess I need to remind myself that my being undetectable and him being on prep keeps us safe

If you're undetectable, you are untransmittable. No need to worry.

As long as you stay undetectable and true to your regimen of meds you should have no worries. I remember when first diagnosed undectectable I was also very un easy with having unprotected sex. Now undetectable for nearly 20 years I know better and no longer worry. Stay healthy, undetectable and adhere to your regimen and all will be fine!

Regardless of status everyone is responsible for their behavior. You are staying healthy and undetectable. The person who made the choice to be with you made their choice. But no one can tell a person to stop worrying. I worry (needlessly mostly, I still do it) So that part of self is something that I need to do
