Well it’s been almost one year since my life changed. 4 months not knowing what’s going on an 8 months testing positive and on biktarvy. A lot has changed and while I know that I’m officially positive my question is .the first month I had sex during those 4 months and came down with flu like symptoms I got a rapid antibody test from a clinic which turned out negative. I was so happy I cried. Well that didn’t last long they told me to come back in 2 months and I became positive.my question is… read more
Excellent! @A myHIVteam Member.
Also mirrors depression "too little" and anxiety "too much". Can't turn it on. Can't turn it off.
Cynthia L. Gay, MD, MPH, associate professor of infectious diseases, and David Margolis, MD, the Sarah Kenan Distinguished Professor of Medicine, Microbiology & Immunology, and Epidemiology in the UNC School of Medicine, published results of a clinical trial showing that vorinostat and immunotherapy may modestly shrink the latent HIV reservoir.

I think it's very promising, but I have concerns that it won't come through for the simple fact that big pharma makes a killing off of the meds that we need in order to live. If they were to cure HIV… read more
I'm not sure I understand what PReP does that it prevents a person from contracting HIV and what HIV medications do to lower our viral load to "undetectable". I know undetectable means you still have virus in your system, but the virus amount is so little it cannot be detected by standard testing. But what is it doing to lower those numbers and why can't we, once those numbers are low switch treatment or add treatment to prevent viral replication and viral infection? If we're detectable at… read more
in an article from 2018, it said prep had failed only 6 times worldwide
that averaged 1 person worldwide per year (at the time). So 1 person out of (Phone number can only be seen by the question and… read more

Cool!!!!
It all depends on when the HIV decides to come out of it's hidden reservoirs. HIV can't be detected when it's hidden from my understanding.
Looking back during this time, 🚫 NOT 🚫 what you think today, but looking back to the time, did you think Ryan was treated fairly? Was people justified to be scared back then?
You can be honest, nobody is going to attack you. Things have changed and so has most people.
So, what was your thoughts on Ryan's treatment BACK THEN. AGAIN, 🚫 NOT 🚫 what you think 💬 🤔 today, but what you thought back then.
And we did just that!
As per my last post thanks for all the great responses. I feel so much better I’m in the green zone. However lots of questions on what truly is undectable. So many different opinions even from doctors. We know the tests are getting more sensitive on viral load and soon I’m assuming that under 10 will be the new normal than the current under 20. With that being said does a 200 viral load considered to be worse then 100? Does under 20 mean better then 40? And So on and so on.or it’s all relative… read more
Good Morning Paulm63
Not if big pharma has anything to do with it,it will be up to the scientist
Keytruda is a cancer drug. It also shows signs of pushing out latent HIV cells that lie dormant in your hidden reservoirs.
Has anyone asked about this drug to their doctor?
Does anyone want to try it?
This could be a cure or functional cure.
Has anyone even heard of it?
