Live In A Discriminatory State; What Do You Do When You Want To Give Up Cause There Is No Way Out?
A myHIVteam Member asked a question 💭

My ex is using my status to keep threaten me and trying to blackmail me... He gets out of prison in March of 2019. My story has the recording of what he can do and how the police will not help. I am tired of being in Oklahoma, where even the assistant District Attorney's use your military and HIV status against you. I wish there was more help for me, I hate being such a minority.

first, I would file a police report, (tell them because you want to.) File a restraining order. Damn whether or not they are supportive. Have your paperwork in order anyway. You have to make sure you have documented evidence. LGBT domestic abuse is tough in a place like that. Reach out to your domestic violence people in your area. And see what other legal steps there are out there to protect yourself.

Apollo
I hope that all is well with you.
At this point It's time for a change don't ever feel like you are stuck in a situation because someone is using your status against you. Look into moving to a different state if you can, its your time to shine in life. People will try to make you feel bad when they don't have anything or nothing to come home to once they get out of Prison. Change your number, E-mail address, and state.
Just do your research before you move I really hope this helps you.
