Help With Medication Side Effects
A myHIVteam Member asked a question πŸ’

When i was first diagnosed my doctor prescribed triumeq. That one was making me me throw up constantly and i was always nauseous and it was affecting my kidneys so my doctor now put me on biktarvy. Unfortunately im still always nauseous. Anyone else have this problem and if so any tips on how to deal with or help the nausea

Find something else but consult with doctors first.

I’m on Triumeq and have bouts of nausea. What normally works for me is mint tea. It seems to calm my stomach. For times when it is really bad and nothing else seems to work, my doctor prescribed me Ondansetron ODT. It’s what they give cancer patients for nausea caused by chemo. Luckily I have only had to use the prescription a few times.

Welcome to the team. I have been prescribed Zofran, or the generic. For the most part that works using it as needed. Also you probably know ginger is good for nausea. I hope you find a solution as nausea can be miserable.
