With many antivirals and treatments coming up the pipeline , inevitably there will be treatments and trials here in the United States and abroad regarding the treatment and cure of HIV and other diseases like cancer.
Would you consider volunteering your body for research in treatments of these diseases?

I have a friend who was recently diagnosed with HIV as well and holds strong anti-establishment views, particularly against "Big Pharma," "the system," and what he perceives as a totally 100% corrupt medical industry that prioritizes profit over health, keeping patients dependent on medications. Consequently, he refuses to take antiretroviral medications or any other scientifically developed drugs. Despite my efforts to encourage him to consider antiviral treatments like Biktarvy, I respect his… read more

With so many stories and so many people in this world, sometimes we get lost. What are some things you wish the world would know about you and your HIV?
Love and compassion from family and friends.
Does it bother anyone (or offend) that the new commercials on regular and internet based television airwaves, for HIV/AIDS treatments, show gay men in loving and caring relationships as their poster senerio for needing PREP or Truvada or any other treatment?
All part of the marketing process with its portrayal of the ideal relationship. I am not offended or bothered in the least. You have to wonder what the budget is for these ads and its obvious who pays… read more
Clinical trials are administered in various ways. They can be using medication, intravenously, transfusion, stem cell replacemen etc....There is no cost incurred to the patient and a reimbursement for the day is usually allotted. All expenses are usually covered by the administrating practice. Patients must meet the qualifications of the clinical trial. At-risk patients will not qualify for these trials. The patients' health is number one in these trials and is monitored very closely. ❤️
Yes absolutely.
