HIV has come a long way from the 80s and 90s. And yes I know many will live a normal lifespan albeit challenging. Undetectable sounds great on paper however we are still like those who don’t have this disease.we can get non hiv health issues that everyone on the planet gets.anyone dealing with medical issues unrelated to hiv that affects them.and does having hiv make it harder to control your other conditions?

What's in my blood that will indicate that I am HIV undetectable? Is there some kind of dormant or "dead copy" of the virus that confirms that? Otherwise, if it's GONE, why are we still taking the meds? Thanks.
@GlenLT Yes the virus can hide in lymph nodes where the ART can't get to it. It will lay dormant until it thinks it is safe to come out. So take your meds daily.

Well I loss interest in sex,and I couldn’t bring my self to do someone what my partner did.now I’m on my meds and I get to know God in a deep way I don’t remember what hurt me anymore.
I'm working on getting back on my meds. I have a Dr. appointment next week. I was recently put on Tivicay and Descovy. But then my prescription ran out. I needed Labs done. Then my drivers license was stolen. I had to wait for another one. Then eventually when It came in I had to schedule another lab appointment. Needless to say, I've been OFF the medications for over a month, possibly Month and 1/2. What does this do to the inside of my body and how does it affect how I feel???
