Has Anyone Experience Any Issues With Their Relationship After Being Diagnoised?
A myHIVteam Member asked a question 💭

My partner (he's Negative, btw) and I are going on our 25th year, but things have changed between us since my diagnosis in 2013. We had a brief break back in 2012 and I was traveling extensively with my work. Then I became ill in late 2012 and, at the time, thought it was stress related or perhaps flu symptoms. After several doctor visits throughout 2012 and 2013 came my diagnosis. At the time, he was very supportive of me. We are both very involved in our careers, but always have been… read more

Water Retention, Finger Swelling, Trigger Fingers
A myHIVteam Member asked a question 💭

Anyone have swelling of the fingers and/or problems with their tendons in fingers and/or toes? Not neuropathy in this case. Since switching meds from Genvoya to Biktarvy 3 years ago, I've developed multiple trigger fingers that may eventually require surgery. The swelling of the tendons/joints of the fingers doesn't help matters. This goes into the category 'not sure if it's HIV, meds, diet, nutritional deficiency, salt, water retention balance or just plain old life/aging'. My doc is not an… read more

Given The Opportunity, Would You Be Willing To Volunteer In A Clinical Trial For An HIV/AIDS Cure?
A myHIVteam Member asked a question 💭

Clinical trials are administered in various ways. They can be using medication, intravenously, transfusion, stem cell replacemen etc....There is no cost incurred to the patient and a reimbursement for the day is usually allotted. All expenses are usually covered by the administrating practice. Patients must meet the qualifications of the clinical trial. At-risk patients will not qualify for these trials. The patients' health is number one in these trials and is monitored very closely. ❤️

Cure For HIV?
A myHIVteam Member asked a question 💭

Be honest with me. Do you think that there will ever be a cure for HIV in within our lifetime?

A myHIVteam Member

They know how to cure it, they have known since 2011. I guess, they are trying to find how the medication can make it happen. Or maybe they don't want to because HIV is a cash cow for big Pharma and… read more
