I should mention I was diagnosed in 2016 when I had pneumonia. 2016 was a rough year. Once I started my treatment the medsI was first given shut down my kidneys my creatinin sky rocketed to 965 level. I'm currently just taking triumeq once a day and I'm FINALLY undetectable. This is the first time using this site and telling my story besides to my partner and my parents. It's been extremely difficult to say the least. I look forward to navigating this site as I finally have had the… read more

Sorry its been rough! I had pneumonia too. Lungs were getting ready to collapse. When they admitted me ( catholic) they asked if I wanted to see a priest ..just in case I guess. I had a team of 6 doctors with various specialties. Within 24 hours I was told about HIV. I had no idea! ( shitty personal doctor!) I found out later, they thought I was going to die. Go figure.? I was 195lbs and went into hospital at 115 , hardly able to breath! I never thought or felt I was going to die until I was told after second week. I was in hospital for 3 weeks. Viral load was disgustingly horrible. Deathbed horrible. I was never depressed about the disease, just PISSED OFF about losing my normal quality of life. When released, I was on portable oxygen machine, ribs protruding, couldn't walk up stairs, couldn't hold solid food, couldn't eat food (tasted/felt like moist concrete) ,dehydrated, diarrhea hourly, hallucinating, couldn't lift a gallon of milk, bed ridden, on and on and on..... Im the survivor/fighter type of guy so I knew I would eventually heal, I was pissed off about the time it was going to take!!!!
Here we are 16 months later. With a new doctor, 195lbs,Tivicay/Descovy daily, working 10 hour days, socializing, working out, talking to my 100 plus customers/accounts, spending quality time with family and friends etc....Basically living the same lifestyle WITH a much greater appreciation for life ,my family and friends. They still don't know, I didn't want to worry them, crazy huh?? Im nothing special just didn't want HIV to win. Its in my blood but thats all! I refuse to let it bring me down. It is what it is! Accept yourself. You have to before someone else can! I am not mad at the person who gave it to me. It was my decision to have unprotected sex. I manned up. Now Ive dealt with it. Stay the course! Sorry don't know about the feet. I would research the meds your on extensively.
Blood goes to bottom of feet at night, circulation, etc. Google google, google, stay informed. I wish y'all the best!
