My home is about to get a pest control done. They told me i would have to be away from home for a few hours. How safe would it be for me to come back into my own home. They said it would have a strong smell for a day or two after the treatment is done. Me having my immune system still not strong enough will it be a problem? Maybe im just being paranoid lol i dont wanna catch anything or get sick. Its the weekend and i wont be able to get a hold of my doc for days.
Hi, I have a super hyper sensitivity to insecticides due to a chemical accident. Ask what chemicals are being used as well as if the exterminator is licensed. Are you disabled? Does your landlord know of your situation? The last 2 questions are tricky. I myself don't broadcast my status due to prejudice and stigma. Maybe explain your Dr and have him write a vague letter regarding the chemicals but not your status. Good Luck and I hope everything works out well for you. :)
I'm sure it will be safer than the biotoxic HIV drugs we take. I don't like insecticides myself and use those sticky cardboard pads that catch lots of spiders, crickets, and stuff. Spiders are actually not affected like other insects as they don't breath through their legs when they walk over poison residue.
I went through it once...had 2 be out of the house 4 eight hours. It depends on what is being done. They will not let anyone in the house until it is completely safe!
I never let them exterminate inside my house. I’ll
Tell them
To do the yard and the perimeter but personally, I don’t want the chemicals in the house. You can create natural bug killers that you can put in your home with Borax. Google it or check Pinterest for concoctions
If your immune system is weak already or your meds make you sensitive to smells I would say stay away for the weekend and take any pet's that you may have with you. That would be my suggestion just to be on the safe side
